Most of a website’s life happens after launch day. Every site we build spends the rest of its life on our servers, watched, updated, backed up, and cared for by the same people who built it. This page explains what that actually means, because “managed hosting” is a phrase that gets thrown around by a lot of people who don’t manage much of anything.
Maybe we just finished your website and you’re deciding whether to stay on our hosting. Or maybe your site was built years ago by somebody who has since retired, switched careers, or stopped answering email — that happens all the time, and it’s not your fault. Either way, the question is the same: who’s looking after this thing? Here’s our answer.
There’s hosting, and then there’s somebody whose job it is
A lot of people think GoDaddy is fine. It’s not. There’s a big difference between renting $250-a-year server space and being left to your own devices, and having a human being whose actual job is to keep your website happy, healthy, and fast. Cheap hosting hands you a login and wishes you luck — the updates, the backups, the security, the 3 a.m. outage are all yours now. We built Enhanced Ongoing Services so that none of it is ever yours. One plan, one flat fee, and a website that somebody is actually responsible for.

We rattle that list off so often it’s practically one word. Here’s what each part actually means when it’s your website.
- Part 01 / 06Hosting
Your website lives on a high-end cloud server tuned specifically for WordPress — optimized PHP, database, and caching layers, which is nerd-speak for “pages load fast, every time.” Our servers sit in Canada and the United States, and a complete copy of your site sits with a separate provider in a separate part of the continent, ready to take over if the primary ever falters. It has never needed to. We built it anyway.
- Part 02 / 06Updates
WordPress and its plugins ship updates constantly, and neglected updates are how websites get broken into — or just broken. We apply every one of them for you: backup first, then update, then check that nothing wobbled. You get a monthly changelog listing exactly what was done under the hood, which most clients skim once and then happily ignore. That’s allowed.
- Part 03 / 06Upkeep
The machinery underneath a website ages even when the website doesn’t change: PHP versions, database engines, server software. We keep all of it current, and your site keeps running on the premium professional tools it was built with — our licenses, no extra cost to you. Upkeep is the least visible thing we do, and it’s the reason the visible things keep working.

Every single day, three copies of your entire website land in three different places — one near it, two nowhere near it — and we keep a full year of them. If disaster ever strikes, we restore in minutes, not days. You also get direct access to your own set of copies, with plain-English instructions for what to do with them. Your website should never have a single point of failure. Including us.
- Part 05 / 06Security
Most attacks on a website aren’t a hacker in a hoodie — they’re automated scripts probing thousands of sites a minute, looking for an unlocked door. Our servers run a firewall that bounces that traffic away before WordPress ever sees it, plus real-time malware scanning, login protection, and a long list of hardening measures we will happily bore you with on request. Systems like these make sense for a bank. We run them for everybody, because we are crazy people and take this very seriously.

When you want something changed — new photos, a new hire’s bio, this month’s news — you email us and it gets done, usually the same day. Every plan includes an hour of our time each month, and most updates take us about 90 seconds, so an hour goes a remarkably long way. No ticket queue, no support tiers, no explaining your business to a stranger. You talk to the people who built your site, because there isn’t anybody else here.
You’ll know it’s working because you’ll never think about it
Monitoring watches every site we host around the clock. If something so much as hiccups, our phones light up — yours doesn’t. We’re usually working on a problem before anyone else knows it exists, and we can’t remember the last time a client had to tell us their site was down. Some clients barely know what we do all month. That’s the job going right.
The main thing you’re buying here is peace of mind, and the best evidence of it is silence.
Hosting with us is a choice you keep making
Everything on this page comes with a caveat we insist on: you don’t need us. You own your website outright, you hold the same administrator access we do, and your backups come with instructions for restoring the site anywhere, with anyone, without our help. We set it up that way on purpose — clients who stay because they’re stuck aren’t clients, they’re hostages. Ours stay because the website works and the relationship is easy. Sites we launched more than a decade ago are still on our servers today.

Questions we actually get asked
Q.01 Can we make changes to the website ourselves?
Yes. You have the same administrator access we do, and the site is built so you can edit your own content without breaking anything. In practice, most clients have better things to do and just send us the change instead. That’s what the included hour is for.
Q.02 Somebody else built our website. Can you take it over?
Usually, yes — it happens more often than you’d think: a designer retires, an agency dissolves, an email goes unanswered one day. We’ll look at what you have and tell you honestly what shape it’s in. If it’s sound, we move it onto our servers and it gets the same treatment as everything else we host. If it’s overdue for a rebuild, we say that instead.
Q.03 What’s included, and what costs extra?
Everything on this page is included. If you ask for something genuinely new — a new section of the site, a new feature, a redesign — we’ll say so before anything happens: here’s what it would cost, here’s how long it would take, want to do it? Nothing gets built or billed without your go-ahead, and in practice this comes up rarely.
Q.04 What does it cost?
One flat fee, billed monthly or annually, quoted in your proposal alongside all the features and specs — and it doesn’t wobble. No metered surprises, no upsell calls, no invoice you didn’t see coming. We don’t publish prices because every website is a little different, but we’ll give you a straight number after one conversation.
