Web Design & Development Project Overview

NS Modular is the Alberta end of the Northern Strands Group — a fabrication, field services and storage operation on a fifty-acre compound in Nisku with a 44,000 square foot indoor facility, serving heavy industrial clients across Western Canada. The work runs from pressure piping and structural steel through modular construction, shutdowns and equipment preservation. What the website has to establish, before anything else, is that they are certified to do it.

The site lays out three distinct service branches — Fabrication, Field Services, and Storage & Preservation — and puts the certifications where a contractor or procurement team will look for them rather than treating them as small print. Facility scale, qualifications and the ABSA authorisation all sit in reach of the first question anyone asks. It links out to its five sibling sites, and the hosting, nightly backups and security watch behind it are ours.

Deep Dive

What actually went into NS Modular’s build, decision by decision — and the service behind each one.

The certifications are the sales pitch

ASME B31.1 and B31.3. Pressure-vessel and boiler authorisation under Sections VIII and IV. An ABSA Certificate of Authorization, number and all. CWB, WCB, WorkSafeBC, TSBC, ISNetworld. For a fabrication shop bidding heavy industrial work, that list is not credentials-page material — it is the first thing a contractor checks and the reason a bid is considered at all. The site treats it accordingly.

Three branches that don't share a customer

Pressure piping is a purchase. A shutdown crew is a schedule. Somewhere secure to park equipment between projects is closer to a lease. Three enquiries, arriving from three different problems. Fabrication, Field Services, and Storage & Preservation each get their own route rather than being flattened into a capability list, so each of those searches lands somewhere that answers it.

    Fifty acres is a specification

A fifty-acre compound with a 44,000 square foot indoor facility is not a boast, it's an answer — to whether a module fits, whether a crew can work indoors through a Prairie winter, and whether equipment can sit somewhere secure for a season. Numbers like that do more work on a page than any adjective would, so they're stated plainly and early.

The Alberta arm of a Saskatchewan group

NS Modular operates out of Nisku while the rest of the group sits in Saskatchewan, which makes it the sibling most likely to be found on its own rather than through the family. Its site carries the group's design language and links back to Northern Strands, Fortis and Certified — but it leads with its own location, its own facility and its own certifications, because that's what an Alberta contractor came looking for.
