Carey Hyndman spent two decades running communications inside the mining industry, and before that in media relations and media training. Your Voice Consulting is what she started when she went out on her own — crisis communications, community and Indigenous engagement, media training, and the strategy work that medium-sized organisations need but rarely have anyone in-house to do. She opened the doors on the first of October. She also knew exactly what she didn’t want: she had worked on a twelve-hundred-page corporate website and wanted the opposite of it.
The site we built is small by page count and deliberate about where the weight sits. Ten distinct service areas are broken out individually, because a person in trouble looks up the trouble, not the consultancy. Crisis work is surfaced at the top level rather than three clicks down. An Insights section gives her somewhere to put the thinking she already does for clients. There’s no testimonials wall and no case study library — both were left out on purpose, to go in when there’s something real to put in them. Somewhere to live, a nightly copy, and somebody watching: all included.
