Fortis does the work that keeps a mine shaft running — hoist roping and conveyance, shaft maintenance and repair, underground construction and development — and backs it with its own engineering and manufacturing under one roof in Saskatoon. That is three genuinely different businesses sold to overlapping buyers, and the previous site made a visitor work out which one they’d landed in. The rebuild’s first job was telling them apart.
Each capability now sits in its own top-level route — Mining & Industrial Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing — with the specific work named underneath rather than summarised. Completed jobs get individual project pages instead of a gallery, so a shaft rope and skip replacement is something a procurement team can read about and cite.
