Industries

You think your industry’s too specific for a web designer to get. You’re usually right.

Most websites get built from a comfortable distance — same structure for the dental clinic and the steel fabricator, different logo. And it shows, because those two businesses share almost nothing: different customers, different searches, different jobs to do at the moment somebody needs them. We build from up close instead: a portfolio that runs the width of the local economy, each website shaped around how that business actually gets found, chosen, and hired — and every industry below comes with named clients you can click.

Find yours.

The homework

Industry knowledge shows up in the sitemap

When a designer hasn’t learned an industry, the website confesses it: one all-purpose “Services” page where a dozen areas of law should be, a wall of uncaptioned photos where a project history should be, a contact form that treats a patient in pain like a newsletter signup. Industry knowledge isn’t a mission statement — it shows up in the sitemap, in what gets its own page, in what’s one tap from the homepage.

Learning that — how a business gets found, what its customers are anxious about, what has to be answerable before they’ll ever call — is the first job of every build we take on. It’s the same homework whether the client is a law office or a zipline park, and we’ve done it enough times, in enough rooms, that the industries below come pre-studied. Each page below shows the result: what we build differently for that line of work, who we’ve built it for, and what those clients said afterward.

Every industry, a website of its own

Each line below is that industry page’s own summary — the same words you’ll meet when you land there. Click through for the whole story: what that industry’s website has to get right, who we’ve built for, and how it went.

In aggregate

A portfolio of receipts

Depth matters more than range, so here are the columns: construction companies, from Thorpe to KDM Constructors, the deepest shelf we have. Contractors in every trade. Professional-services firms from research houses to training schools. Law firms — among them Cuelenaere LLP and Legal Aid Saskatchewan, which serves the whole province. Mining and industrial builds, Northern Strands and Elance Steel among them. Dental clinics like Midtown Dental, nonprofits like the Pink Wig Foundation, restaurants like Vern’s Pizza. Every website in the portfolio built and looked after from one studio in Saskatoon.

When we say we know your industry, that’s what we’re pointing at.

Not listed?

If your industry isn’t up there

No list of industries covers the whole economy. The list is where we’ve built enough to talk in specifics — it was never a boundary. The portfolio also holds a hotel, a truck-driving school, and a food distributor, none of which have a page to their name — and every column in it started at one website, because somebody’s always first. If your business runs on expertise and appointments, start at professional services; it’s the widest door in the list. Otherwise, skip the list and just tell us what you do.

By need instead

Two other ways in

Shopping by task rather than trade? Everything we sell is cataloged under services — from the design work to the quiet stuff that keeps websites out of trouble. And if the real question is “what do we actually need?”, that’s a digital strategy conversation — we’ll help you figure out what’s worth building before anyone talks price.

Whatever you do

Tell us what you do

We’ll reply with what we’ve built for businesses like yours — live websites you can click through, not mockups — and tell you where we’d start. If your industry’s in the list, we can talk specifics from the first email. If it isn’t, the homework starts the day you write.
