Tourism websites where the trip begins

Before anyone drives to the zipline, books the lake view, or calls the travel agent, they visit the website — imagining it first, checking it second. Tourism and hospitality businesses across the map run on Becker Design sites, from Valley Zipline Adventures to The Ridge on Amisk.

The Itinerary

What a tourism website has to carry

Travel decisions are made on feel and confirmed on facts. The website supplies both, in that order.

  • 01

    Booking Without the Last-Step Leak

Most tourism sites lose people at the finish — the moment between "let's do it" and a confirmed booking. Whatever system you book through, we wire the path so excitement survives the checkout.
  • 02

    Photography That Does the Dreaming

Tourism is sold on imagery before it's sold on anything. Big, fast-loading photography of the actual place — because the visitor is deciding whether to picture themselves there, and stock photos picture no one.
  • 03

    Seasons That Stay True

Opening dates, rates, hours, what's running this month — tourism's facts have expiry dates. The site is built so this year's reality replaces last year's in minutes, not meetings.
  • 04

    Practical Answers for Planners

Directions, what to bring, age limits, weather policies, group bookings. Every answered question on the website is a phone call your front desk doesn't take in July.
  • 05

    Event & Festival Surges

When the Coal Creek Folk Festival's lineup drops, the website takes the wave. Tourism traffic arrives in spikes — announcement days, long weekends, feature stories — and the site is built to enjoy them.
  • 06

    Found by People Planning Trips

"Things to do in…" searches are tourism's front door. Well-structured pages about real experiences earn those results and hold them — visibility that compounds season over season.

On the Record

Many destinations, one departure point

A zipline park, a lakeside resort, a regional tourism partnership and its explorer guide, a city tourism project, a travel agency, and a folk festival — more than ten tourism and hospitality builds over the years, the current roster live in the portfolio below, all made and maintained in Saskatoon. We build the sites where other people's holidays start.
  • Patrick T. — Valley Zipline Adventures★★★★★

Where do I begin. When I decided to renew my business website after ten years, I vetted about a dozen different developers. Bryn stood out from them all and our consultation was extremely thorough and the quote included everything we discussed. I would hands down recommend Becker Design for your next website build. He was easy to work with, kept clear communication and updated me every step of the way. Our new website is exactly what I needed for my business and I don’t regret my decision with work with them whatsoever. Thanks for everything Bryn!

  • Kathylynne F. — Fenton Travel★★★★★

There are some things that are best left to the professionals – web design is one of them.

I recently hired Bryn with Becker Design & Media to create a new website after rebranding my travel business. My previous template website provided for free from my host agency, was just plain boring, with no specific call to action or focus. Bryn’s suggestions were spot on. He was a pleasure to work with, quick to respond and always explained why, when some of my design ideas were less than ideal in the online world. I appreciate his taking the time to educate me as well as providing a fresh professional looking website.

I’m excited that I can do simple revisions with the tutorial he provided after launch and he’s assured me he’s available for support, which is one of the main reason’s I hired him, based on another of his client’s reviews for his stellar ongoing support.

Show us what visitors miss

Every operator has it — the view, the moment, the experience the current website undersells. Tell us what it is. The proposal comes back with the plan, the price, and that moment placed where no visitor can miss it.

How Trips Get Chosen

Travellers buy the picture, then check the fine print

Every tourism decision runs the same two-step: imagination first — could this be the weekend? — then verification: dates, prices, directions, “is it open in September?” A website that nails only one step loses the booking either way. All sizzle and no answers frustrates the planner; all logistics and no feeling never sparks the trip.

So the structure does both jobs in sequence. The photography and the writing sell the experience the moment the page opens; the practical layer — seasons, rates, FAQs, booking — sits one obvious step behind it, current and unambiguous. The visitor who arrives dreaming leaves booked, and the one who arrives comparing leaves convinced.

And because most of this happens on a phone — in a passenger seat, on a lunch break, in a tent with one bar of signal — every page is built light and fast. A tourism site that loads slowly on a highway is a billboard facing the wrong way.

The Casework

Trips we've helped launch

Valley Zipline Adventures — Patrick vetted about a dozen developers before picking one, which makes this the kind of file we like: won on the comparison, not on being the only call returned.

Fenton Travel — a rebrand rescue from a free template that had no call to action and no focus. The replacement has both, and Kathylynne came out of the process knowing how her own website works.

ExploreSSEP and SSEP pair a regional partnership with its visitor-facing explorer guide; The Ridge on Amisk sells lake life for a resort; Saskatooning makes the case for our own city. All linked below — click through and see whether they make you want to go. That’s the test.

Between Seasons

Tourism runs on a calendar. So does the upkeep.

Every operator knows the spring scramble: new season, new rates, new packages, a website still advertising last October. Off-season neglect is the industry’s default — and it costs early bookings, because the people planning July trips are browsing in February.

Our tourism clients skip the scramble. Season flips are a send-us-the-details job, done before the early birds arrive; the infrastructure underneath — hosting, backups, security, updates — runs year-round without a thought. When the season opens, the website’s already been open for months.

Make the website worth the trip

If your destination photographs better than its website reads, that gap is our whole job. Get in touch — bring the photos that make people gasp, and we'll build the site that gets them there.
