Restaurant websites for the hungry and the double-parked

Your website's most important visitor is standing outside, phone in hand, deciding in the next forty seconds. Vern's Pizza, Mano's Restaurant, and Calories all run on Becker Design websites built for exactly that person — menu, hours, and location first, everything else behind it.

The Order

What a restaurant website serves, in order

Restaurant visitors want three things fast and everything else eventually. The site's structure should match their appetite.

  • 01

The Menu, Not a PDF of the Menu

A pinch-to-zoom PDF is where hungry people give up. Menus live as real pages — readable on a phone, findable by Google, and updated in minutes when the kitchen changes something.
  • 02

Hours, Location, Parking — Above the Fold

The forty-second visitor needs open-or-not, where, and how. Answering instantly is the difference between a table filled and a U-turn to the place down the street.
  • 03

    Ordering, Wired In

Whatever you use for takeout and delivery, the website hands customers to it cleanly. For Calories, we built the ordering site itself alongside the restaurant's — one brand, no seams.
  • 04

    Photography That Smells Right

Nobody's ordered from a stock photo. Your food, your room, your people — shot once, used everywhere, doing more selling than any paragraph on the page.
  • 05

    Updates at Kitchen Speed

Prices move, features rotate, hours change for the long weekend. The staff can make those edits themselves — or email us and get on with the dinner rush.
  • 06

    Found by the Neighbourhood

"Pizza near me" is won with basics done right: accurate listings, a fast site, menu pages Google can read. Local search is a regular's habit waiting to form.

On the Record

Plenty of spots at the table

Saskatoon institutions, a pizza name known across Saskatchewan, an ordering platform, and the food-distribution side — a whole menu of builds in the food business, all designed, hosted, and kept warm from Saskatoon. We've never lost a restaurant to a competitor's website. Just saying.
  • Taso B. — Mano’s Restaurant★★★★★

Bryn was knowledgeable, timely and resourceful. His design was thoughtful and on brand. He was nimble and quick in responding to our schedule. His ongoing support has been essential, and his lighthearted professionalism made the project enjoyable. Highly recommend.

  • Stacey L. — Greenline Distributors★★★★★

Amazing work! We hired Becker Design to help us create a website for our food distribution company and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Bryn was very invested in the project and as excited for the end result as we were. I would strongly recommend him and his company for your next online project!

  • Karan T. — Calories Online Ordering★★★★★

Send us your menu

Today's version, typos and all. We'll show you what it looks like as a real website — then a proposal with features, specs, and costs, priced once, no surprise charges after.

The Forty-Second Test

Hungry people don't browse — they check

Restaurant traffic is different from every other industry’s. Nobody’s researching; they’re deciding — on the sidewalk, in the group chat, in the car with the engine running. Are you open, what’s on the menu, how do we order. Three answers, forty seconds, and they’re either yours or the next spot’s.

Most restaurant websites fail that test with style: a full-screen video nobody waits for, a PDF menu that fights the phone, hours hidden on a contact page. The design was made for a judge who isn’t hungry — an awards jury, an owner’s cousin — instead of the customer who is.

We build the other way. The forty-second answers come first and load instantly; the brand does its work through photography, type, and tone while the visitor gets what they came for. A restaurant website succeeds exactly as often as it gets out of a hungry person’s way.

The Casework

Who's in the kitchen

Mano’s Restaurant — a Saskatoon fixture, and a build that had to move around a restaurant’s schedule rather than the other way round.

Calories is the two-site story: the restaurant’s own website plus a dedicated online-ordering site we built alongside it.

Vern’s Pizza carries the volume end — a pizza brand where the website’s job is pure throughput: menu, deals, order, done.

Greenline Distributors feeds the industry from the supply side — the one build in this column where the customer is another kitchen.

The next project

There’s room on this page for your business

Every site above came out of this shop. The next spot on this page is open.

After Service

The menu changed Tuesday. The website knew by Tuesday night.

Restaurants change more often than any business we serve — prices, features, hours, seasonal menus, that one dish that’s gone forever because the supplier quit. A website that lags the kitchen embarrasses everybody: the customer orders what doesn’t exist, the server explains, the review mentions it.

So the update path is built for restaurant reality: your manager edits the menu directly, or texts-worth-of-changes come to us and go live same day. Underneath, hosting, daily backups, and security run without a thought from anyone on your side. If the kitchen knows it, the website knows it. That’s the standard.
