Lloydminster Web Design

Becker Design is in Saskatoon, three hours east on the Yellowhead. One of our builds has a Lloydminster address on it, and — because this is Lloydminster — that address is technically in Alberta.

One address, two provinces

The one on 50th, which is the Alberta half

Vern’s Pizza is on 50 Avenue — and its postal code starts with a T, not an S, which tells you exactly which side of the line the building sits on. That’s the whole Lloydminster problem in one address: a business that is genuinely in both provinces and has to look like one company on the web regardless. We built the site and we host it.

Fig. 00 — The distance, measuredNot a map. On purpose.

You already cross a provincial line to get groceries, so a web designer three hours away is not going to be the exotic part of your week.

Here’s the actual shape of it. The kickoff is a call. The written content lives in a shared document, and how fast that fills in decides the launch date — not the highway, not us. The build happens on a dev site, a private space on the web where the new website comes to life, and you get the link on day one so you’re watching it rather than waiting on it. When it’s done we flip a switch at the domain.

The Yellowhead is for the parts that want a person on site: photographs of the real place, a morning with whoever’s going to keep the site current afterward.

Then the long tail — hosting, updates, upkeep, backups, security, and support. Six things, one bill, and a server that has never once asked which province you’re in.

The straight answer

One client here, and no pretending it’s a foothold

A lot of web designers would take one Lloydminster client and write a paragraph about serving the Border City. We’re not going to. One is one.

What we do have is 14 years of building websites for service businesses across two provinces, and a straightforward offer: we build it once, we build it correctly, and we look after it for years so it doesn’t quietly go stale. If you need somebody who can be in your building on short notice and keep being there, hire locally — we’d tell you that on the call. If you don’t, three hours has never been the obstacle.

The wider ledger

What we’ve built, on both sides of the line

14 years and hundreds of builds — Saskatchewan mostly, Alberta and Manitoba regularly, and out to the coast when the work goes there. A few below.

Who this tends to be

Four we can speak to honestly

One has a Lloydminster address behind it. Three don’t, and say so. Eleven other industries we build for aren’t on this page, because there’d be nothing true to write under them.

Restaurants — including the one on 50th

Vern’s Pizza, home of the Original Thick, on 50 Avenue. A restaurant site’s entire job is getting a hungry person to the ordering page without a detour, and it has to do that on a phone in a truck. More on restaurant websites.

  • 02

    Contractors

Oilfield country runs on trades, and trades are the biggest slice of what we build — Mesa Mechanical, NexGen, Stevenson Industrial, Cypress Sales. None of them out here yet. More on contractor websites.

  • 03

    Mining and heavy industry

Our heavy-industry work is the Northern Strands companies, Fortis and SECON — sites built around the questions procurement asks first: capabilities, safety record, certifications. Nothing in the Lloydminster field yet. More on mining and heavy industry.

  • 04

    Professional services

Accountants, advisors, consultants — OptimaHR, Your Voice Consulting, ResearchFDI. A border city runs a lot of firms that have to be credible in two jurisdictions at once, which is a website problem before it’s anything else. More on professional services.

Asked and answered

Questions we actually get asked

Usually in the first ten minutes of the call.

  • Where are you, actually?

Saskatoon — 275 kilometres east on the Yellowhead, about three hours. No Lloydminster office, and given how this city works we’d have to pick a side anyway.

  • Have you built anything here?

One: Vern’s Pizza on 50 Avenue. Its postal code says Alberta, which is very Lloydminster of it. One client is one client and we’re not going to round it up.

  • We operate on both sides of the border. Does that complicate the site?

Less than it complicates your accounting. It mostly shows up as clarity work — making sure a visitor understands which locations, hours and service areas apply to them without having to think about provincial lines.

  • What does a website cost?

More than the cheapest quote you’ll get and less than an agency’s. We don’t publish figures because the honest answer depends on what the site has to do. You’ll have a real number in writing before you commit to anything.
