Vern’s Pizza has been selling the Original Thick since long before anybody worried about how it looked on a phone, and now runs eleven stores across seven cities in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. A pizza chain’s website has one job on a Friday evening, and it is not brand-building — somebody is hungry, deciding between you and the other place, and every extra step between that thought and an order is a chance to lose them.
So the whole site is four things: the menu, the deals, the locations, and ordering. Photography does the persuading, because pizza sells itself if you shoot it properly and gets no help from adjectives. Deals and featured items are straightforward for the team to change, since a promotion nobody can update is a promotion that stops running. Vern’s hosts the site on their own infrastructure; we built it, advised on the setup, and remain on hand when something needs doing.
