Overview

Web Design & Development Project Overview

Luminique Cosmetic & Laser is a Saskatoon clinic offering sixteen distinct treatments — injectables, laser resurfacing and hair removal, microneedling, PRP, body contouring, peels and facials among them — plus the skincare products clients keep buying between appointments. In a market where every clinic’s website says roughly the same reassuring things, the useful differentiator is being findable for the specific procedure somebody has already decided they want.

So each treatment has its own page rather than sharing a list, and Book Now sits in the main navigation instead of at the bottom of a contact form. The product side is treated as its own reason to visit, because a returning client buying skincare is a different errand from a new client researching a first appointment. A mailing list capture in the footer feeds the seasonal promotions and offers that bring people back. The hosting underneath it is ours — nightly copies, somebody watching, and the same person to email when a new device needs a page.

Deep Dive

What actually went into Luminique Cosmetic & Laser’s build, decision by decision — and the service behind each one.

    Sixteen procedures, sixteen pages

Someone booking laser hair removal and someone considering microneedling are not browsing a clinic — they have picked a procedure and want to know who does it nearby. A single Treatments page listing everything answers neither of them well. Sixteen separate pages means sixteen specific things to be found for, each able to say what the treatment involves, who it suits and what to expect afterward.

The mailing list is the repeat business

Aesthetics runs on people coming back — a treatment done once is a client, a treatment done quarterly is a business. The site carries a mailing-list capture rather than treating email as an afterthought, because a seasonal promotion sent to people who already trust the clinic outperforms almost anything a website can do to a stranger. The website's job there is collecting the address.

Book Now, in the menu, on every page

The decision to book is almost never made on the contact page. It arrives partway down a treatment description, or on the About page, or while looking at prices — and the site's job at that moment is to not make the person go looking. Booking is pinned to the menu, visible from wherever the decision lands — a small structural choice that quietly does a lot of work.

    Products are a separate errand

A returning client restocking skincare and a prospective client researching injectables are after two unrelated things, and folding retail into the treatment pages serves neither. Products gets its own route. It is a small structural decision that reflects how a clinic like this actually earns — appointments and shelf sales, running alongside each other rather than one buried inside the other.
