Oakstead was a family team of certified arborists, arborist technicians and horticulturalists working across Southern Vancouver Island — tree work, yard and garden care, for homeowners, businesses and government contracts alike. A long way from most of our client list, and one of the more enjoyable briefs for it.
Arboriculture sells on two things at once, and they don’t sit comfortably together. Half of it is credentials — certification is what separates a qualified arborist from somebody with a chainsaw, and it’s the only thing standing between a client and a very expensive mistake with a very large tree. The other half is that most enquiries start with a homeowner looking at something worrying and wanting somebody to come and look at it. So the site put the qualifications where a cautious customer would find them, and the consultation request where an anxious one would.
Underneath, it was built for search across Southern Vancouver Island, which for a trade business working an island is where most of the enquiries were going to come from.
