Web Design & Development Project Overview

Atoskewin Industrial is a general contractor formed in partnership with Ochapowace First Nation, who are its majority owners. That ownership is not a values statement bolted onto the footer — it is the commercial fact that decides who can bid on what, and a project owner carrying Indigenous procurement targets needs it established about a contractor before anything else.

So the site puts it where it cannot be missed, and gives the surrounding context its own pages: the partnership, the community, the training commitments, the safety record. Five services sit alongside — general contracting, construction rentals, contingent labour, project management and site services — each written out rather than listed, because “site services” means something specific in this industry and a page is where you say what. It carries the SECON Group house style and points back up to the parent.

Ownership is a procurement fact
Potash, power and public infrastructure buyers increasingly carry Indigenous procurement targets, and a contractor that qualifies has to be able to prove it in about four seconds. Majority ownership by Ochapowace First Nation is stated on the front page and expanded properly further in, because the alternative is a bidder having to phone and ask.

Five services, written not listed
General contracting. Construction rentals. Contingent labour. Project management. Site services. In this trade those last three mean very different things to different buyers, and a bulleted list lets everyone assume their own definition. Each got a page long enough to say what is actually included, which is also the only version a search engine can do anything with.

The training piece belongs on the site
A partnership that exists to create opportunity has to show the opportunity, not just assert the partnership. Community involvement, training and the relationship with Ochapowace each got their own space rather than a shared paragraph — the sections a band council or a joint-venture partner reads first, and the ones that are hardest to write convincingly in fifty words.

Bought as one of three
This site, CORE Industrial and the group site were commissioned together, and the pricing said so — roughly a third off each for taking all three at once. That is not generosity. Three sites built in one run share research, share a design system, and share the decisions, so the second and third genuinely cost less to make.
