Yorkton Web Design

Becker Design builds websites out of Saskatoon, three and three-quarter hours west on the Yellowhead. Four of our builds have a Yorkton address on them — a contractor, a soil-mapping company, a legal service and a construction group — and none of them hired us from Yorkton.

Four builds, three addresses

Only Regina and P.A. see this much of us

KDM Constructors runs out of Bradbrooke Drive North — and that same address is the Yorkton office of its parent, the SECON Group, whose site we also built. SWAT MAPS keeps a Yorkton office on 7th Avenue South. Legal Aid Saskatchewan is on Smith Street East. Four builds, one city, and the only reason they’re all here is that Yorkton is where the work is — not because we ever set up shop.

Fig. 00 — The distance, measuredNot a map. On purpose.

We’ve run four Yorkton projects from Saskatoon, so this isn’t a theory.

Almost none of a build needs anybody in the room. The kickoff is a call. The written content lives in a shared document you can open anywhere, and how quickly it fills in is what sets the launch date — never the highway. The site gets built on a dev site, a private space on the web where the new website comes to life, and you get the link on day one so you’re watching it happen instead of waiting for a reveal. When it’s finished we flip a switch at the domain.

The Yellowhead is for the parts that genuinely need a person standing there: photographs of a real yard, a walkthrough, an afternoon with whoever’s going to keep the site current. Those get planned in, not improvised.

Then the part with no end date — hosting, updates, upkeep, backups, security, and support. Six things, one bill, and across four Yorkton builds the distance has never once been why something went wrong.

The straight answer

Four clients here still isn’t a Yorkton office

This is the most work we’ve done in any city we don’t live in, and it would be easy to write a paragraph about our deep Yorkton roots. There aren’t any. There are four companies who needed a particular kind of website and didn’t find it locally.

So the honest boundary: if you need somebody in your building on short notice and repeatedly, hire in Yorkton. If you want it built once, built correctly, and looked after for years by one person who answers his own email — that’s what four Yorkton companies bought, and it works fine from 330 kilometres up the Yellowhead.

Who this tends to be

The industries we’ve actually done this for

Two of these have Yorkton addresses behind them and we say which. The rest are honest about not having one. Six cards rather than fifteen — the other nine would be filler and you’d know it.

  • 01YORKTON — BRADBROOKE DR N

Construction companies — including two at one address

KDM Constructors works out of Bradbrooke Drive North, and the SECON Group it belongs to runs its Yorkton office from the same place. We built both sites. A construction site lives or dies on whether the project history holds up when somebody checks you out before a tender. More on construction websites.

  • 02YORKTON — SMITH ST E

Law firms — including Legal Aid Saskatchewan

Legal Aid Saskatchewan’s Yorkton office is on Smith Street East. The site’s one hard requirement was that a person arriving worried finds the right page immediately, and that staff can fix a detail without filing a ticket. More on law firm websites.

  • 03

    Mining and heavy industry

Yorkton sits at the top of the potash corridor, and our mining-adjacent work — the Northern Strands companies, Fortis, SECON — is all built around procurement questions: capabilities, safety, certifications, in that order. More on mining websites.

  • 04

    Contractors

Mesa Mechanical, NexGen, Stevenson Industrial, Cypress Sales. Trades are the biggest single slice of what we build. Nothing Yorkton-based yet beyond KDM’s construction side. More on contractor websites.

  • 05

    Professional services

SWAT MAPS keeps a Yorkton office and sits closest to this category, though what they actually do is soil mapping for agriculture. Our straight professional-services builds — OptimaHR, Your Voice Consulting, ResearchFDI — are all elsewhere. More on professional services.

  • 06

    Restaurants

Vern’s, Mano’s, Calories, Greenline — all Saskatoon-side. A restaurant site’s job doesn’t change with the postal code: menu, hours, location, ordering, then everything else. More on restaurant websites.

  • Wendy I. — SECON Group★★★★★

SECON Group of Companies began our journey with Becker in 2023, when Bryn took on the ambitious task of developing not just one, but five company websites. From the start, he invested the time to meet directly with each of our business leads, ensuring he understood the unique identifiers of every company.

The results speak for themselves—each website is distinct, showcasing the individuality of our businesses so they truly stand apart. Bryn brings fresh ideas, creates engaging content, and presents information in clear, concise paragraphs paired with compelling imagery that draws readers in. His attention to detail shines through in every aspect of the final product.

And then there’s his service—the area where many companies falter, but where Becker truly excels. Bryn’s ongoing support is why he continues to manage all our websites. He proactively addresses issues, suggests creative enhancements, and delivers updates with incredible turnaround times. Our sites are never stagnant.

We highly recommend working with Becker. We know a company website is a significant investment, which is why having the right external partner on your team makes all the difference—and for us, that partner is definitely Bryn.

That was sitting on the portfolio already — nobody collected it for this page. There are more over here.
Asked and answered

Questions we actually get asked

Usually inside the first ten minutes of the call.

  • Where are you, actually?

Saskatoon — 330 kilometres west on the Yellowhead, about three and three-quarter hours. We’ve never had a Yorkton office. We’ve just had a lot of Yorkton work.

  • Have you built anything in Yorkton?

Four: KDM Constructors and the SECON Group on Bradbrooke Drive North, SWAT MAPS on 7th Avenue South, and Legal Aid Saskatchewan on Smith Street East. That ties Prince Albert for the most anywhere on this site except Regina.

  • Do you understand what we do out here?

Not before we start, no — and anybody who says otherwise is guessing. What we do is learn your line of work properly for exactly as long as the project runs — deep enough to write your pages without you dictating them. Four Yorkton companies have watched us do it.

  • How long does it take?

About three months from deposit to launch, and the biggest variable isn’t us — it’s how fast the written content comes together. The first few weeks are the quiet ones.

  • What happens after it launches?

We keep it. Hosting, updates, upkeep, backups, security, and support — that’s Enhanced Ongoing Services, and it’s how every site we build is looked after.

05 — FIVE QUESTIONS, FOUR YORKTON CLIENTS, ONE OFFICE — AND IT ISN’T HERE.
