Let's Talk Some Shop
It all starts with a meeting.
After you reach out to us and let us know a little bit about what your goals and objectives are for your web project, we’ll schedule a time for a remote meeting (on Zoom or a regular old phone call). These initial meetings usually take about thirty to sixty minutes.
We’ll talk some shop and review everything that you have in mind for your new website — from the size and scope of the project, all the key deliverables, and your timeframe and your budget.
Getting a clear understanding of what makes you and your business tick will help us in step two.
Step Two
Proposal, Planning, & Kickoff
After we learn a little bit about who you are, what you do, and what your goals and objectives are for your new website or website redesign, we’ll draft a full website design and development proposal for you to review.
Our proposals cover everything you need to make an informed decision about working with us. They include an overview of your website’s key features, a full breakdown of all specifications, components, and associated costs, plus a breakdown of some of our systems, our terms, and any other important bits of logistical info.Nothing is set in stone — we can adjust a proposal until it covers everything you need. And there’s no pressure. If you decide you don’t want to work with us, we hope that the meeting, discovery, and proposal drafting process helps you towards your end goal anyway.If you decide the proposal does in fact suit your needs and you’d like to work with us, the next step is to actually dive into your project and start the planning and organizing phase.
Step Three
Design, Build, & Perfect
All of our websites are designed and built on live, private development servers that only you and Becker Design have access to. A development site can be accessed live on the web soon after a project officially kicks off — though there may not be all that much to see for a week or two while we take care of laying the foundation of the new site behind the scenes.
If you have an existing website, we don’t need to mess with it. It will continue to do its thing while your new site is built in parallel on our development server.
Your new site is only finished when you say it is. It’s our job to bring your new site to life and then polish it to perfection with your feedback and assistance.
When your new site is done, we’ll flip some switches behind the scenes and it will replace your old site on your live domain. Congratulations, you have a shiny new website! But that’s not the end of the story.

A finished website isn’t like a mural on a brick wall or a billboard on the side of a highway. It’s a living breathing thing. It will shift over time as your company grows and changes, and as your targets for how you represent yourself on the web evolve.
