Overview

Web Design & Development Project Overview

Signature Stoneworks does custom countertops, cabinetry and tile out of Burron Avenue in Saskatoon, for both residential renovations and commercial work. It came to us as the third build in a single proposal alongside two dental clinics under the same owner — a stone fabricator and two dentists, which is not a combination that shares much beyond a signature at the bottom of a page.

The site separates two questions people arrive with. Services covers what the company will do — countertops, cabinetry, tile, residential and commercial renovation — while Products covers what the material actually is, down to granite against solid-surface quartz against quartz overlay. Ideas holds the finished work, because in this trade nobody commits from a description. Get A Quote is a permanent fixture in the menu rather than the end of a journey, and the server it all sits on is ours to look after.

Deep Dive

What actually went into Signature Stoneworks’s build, decision by decision — and the service behind each one.

What you'll do, and what it's made of

A homeowner planning a kitchen and a homeowner choosing between granite and quartz overlay are at different stages of the same project, and one page cannot serve both. Services answers the first — countertops, cabinetry, tile, residential and commercial renovation. Products answers the second, down to the material. Splitting them means neither visitor has to read past the answer they didn't come for.

Nobody buys a countertop from a description

This is a trade where the photograph does the selling, and the decision is made by looking. Ideas is a top-level route rather than a gallery buried under About, because browsing finished work is the shopping — and every project in it is another page of real, specific, local material for the search engine to find, which a page of adjectives about craftsmanship never is.

Get A Quote, in the menu

Renovation buyers do not convert on the contact page. They convert while looking at a slab they like, or halfway through the tile section, at whatever moment the project stops being hypothetical. Get A Quote stays permanently in reach, so that moment never has to survive a scroll back to the top — which, for a trade with long and expensive lead times, is worth more than any amount of persuasive copy.

An odd third of a three-part project

Two dental clinics and a stone fabricator arrived in one proposal, under one owner, and the temptation with a bundle like that is to make the odd one out fit the pattern. It doesn't. The dental sites share a system; this one shares only the hosting arrangement and the person answering the email — which is the part that actually needed to be common.
