We design, develop, and maintain websites for service-based businesses all across Canada. We design smart, modern websites and use data-driven marketing tools to create massive value for service-based businesses. Once a website is launched, we host it, and we keep it happy, healthy, and fast for as long as it’s on the web. ## Sitemaps [XML Sitemap](https://beckerdesign.ca/sitemap_index.xml): Includes all crawlable and indexable pages. ## Pages - [Home](https://beckerdesign.ca/) - [Our Work](https://beckerdesign.ca/portfolio/) - [Testimonials](https://beckerdesign.ca/testimonials/) - [Website Design](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/) - [Digital Strategy](https://beckerdesign.ca/digital-strategy/) - [Industries](https://beckerdesign.ca/industries/) - [Our Process](https://beckerdesign.ca/process/) - [About](https://beckerdesign.ca/about/) - [Contact](https://beckerdesign.ca/contact/) - [Sitemap](https://beckerdesign.ca/sitemap/) ## Locations - [Swift Current](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-swift-current/) - [Lloydminster](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-lloydminster/) - [Moose Jaw](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-moose-jaw/) - [Warman](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-warman/) - [Estevan](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-estevan/) - [Martensville](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-martensville/) - [Victoria](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-victoria/) - [Vancouver](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-vancouver/) - [Winnipeg](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-winnipeg/) - [Calgary](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-calgary/) - [North Battleford](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-north-battleford/) - [Yorkton](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-yorkton/) - [Prince Albert](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-prince-albert/) - [Regina](https://beckerdesign.ca/service-areas/web-design-regina/) ## Strategies - [AI Training for Business Leaders](https://beckerdesign.ca/strategy/ai-training-for-business-leaders/) - [Comprehensive Website Reviews & Assessments](https://beckerdesign.ca/strategy/comprehensive-website-reviews-assessments/): A website review with Becker is more than a simple technical checkup — it’s a deep dive into the strategic health of your most important digital asset. We’ve worked with a wide range of clients who all needed an objective look at their online presence. For instance, before we built the new site for ResearchFDI, a comprehensive assessment of their existing platform was non-negotiable. We needed to understand what was working, what wasn’t, and how to create a new site that would be a true asset for their business. This process revealed that their old site was suffering from outdated code and a muddled message that wasn’t fully conveying their authority as a leader in their industry. Similarly, for OptimaHR, a review helped us understand how to position her as a true expert in the professional services space. Our Comprehensive Website Reviews & Assessments are the first step in creating a powerful, revenue-generating website. - [AI Automation Strategy](https://beckerdesign.ca/strategy/ai-automation-strategy/) - [SEO Audits & Implementation Plans](https://beckerdesign.ca/strategy/seo-audits-implementation-plans/) - [Website Update Strategy & Execution](https://beckerdesign.ca/strategy/existing-website-update-strategy/) - [Digital Readiness Assessments](https://beckerdesign.ca/strategy/digital-readiness-assessments/) ## Websites - [Valley Zipline Adventures](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/valley-zipline-adventures/): Valley Zipline Adventures is an outdoor adventure park in Radium Hot Springs, BC, running seven ziplines across the Dry Gulch Valley alongside a three-level aerial park, a fifty-foot free-fall jump tower, a climbing wall, a kids' course and bungee trampolines. The park had outgrown a site built a decade earlier, and the problem was not appearance — it was that a visitor could not work out what was on offer, what it cost, or how to book it. - [Elance Steel](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/elance-steel/): Elance Steel designs, fabricates and installs structural steel out of Saskatoon, and the whole argument for hiring them is that all three of those happen under one roof rather than across three subcontracts. A website that lists "steel services" and moves on throws that argument away, so the structure was set up to make the three-part answer unavoidable: design, fabrication and installation are three separate pages, and every sector page names all three. - [Axiom Industries](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/axiom-industries/): Axiom Industries engineers system feeders, demineralizers and hydronic protection equipment out of Saskatoon, and sells it to engineers, contractors and wholesalers across North America and into Europe. The old site was a Divi build five years deep in technical debt: product data locked inside shortcodes, a half-finished online store still reachable by anyone who went looking, and a support arrangement where a request could sit in an inbox for months. Axiom wanted the product catalogue to be genuinely theirs to run. - [Gryba Gratton](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/gryba-gratton/): Gryba Gratton is a Saskatoon firm doing criminal defence and child protection work. The firm was new under that name, which meant a new domain — and a new domain is where hard-won search position goes to die. That single fact set the terms for the whole build: everything had to be structured so the ranking survived the move rather than being rebuilt from nothing afterwards. - [Your Voice Consulting](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/your-voice-consulting/): Carey Hyndman spent two decades running communications inside the mining industry, and before that in media relations and media training. Your Voice Consulting is what she started when she went out on her own — crisis communications, community and Indigenous engagement, media training, and the strategy work that medium-sized organisations need but rarely have anyone in-house to do. She opened the doors on the first of October. She also knew exactly what she didn't want: she had worked on a twelve-hundred-page corporate website and wanted the opposite of it. - [NS Modular](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/ns-modular/): NS Modular is the Alberta end of the Northern Strands Group — a fabrication, field services and storage operation on a fifty-acre compound in Nisku with a 44,000 square foot indoor facility, serving heavy industrial clients across Western Canada. The work runs from pressure piping and structural steel through modular construction, shutdowns and equipment preservation. What the website has to establish, before anything else, is that they are certified to do it. - [Northern Strands Winnipeg](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/northern-strands-winnipeg/): Northern Strands' Manitoba operation sells and services the equipment that keeps people from falling — harnesses, lifelines, anchors, rigid rails, swing stages and the material handling gear that goes with them — and trains the crews who use it, out of Keewatin Street in Winnipeg. It needed its own site rather than a page on the Saskatchewan one, because a Winnipeg safety manager searching for working-at-heights training is not going to find what they need on a Saskatoon company's website. - [PDS Inc](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/pds-inc/): Prairie Diagnostic Services is Saskatchewan's veterinary diagnostic laboratory. Its customers are veterinary clinics, not the public, and what they need from the website is narrow and constant: which test to order, what sample it needs, what it costs, and where the form is. The old site technically held all of that, but it had a content management system that rendered the same submitted font at three different sizes for reasons nobody could explain, so the lab's staff had given up and started posting information as PDFs instead. The information was there. It just wasn't on the web in any useful sense. - [Modern Closet](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/modern-closet/): Modern Closet builds custom storage — closets, pantries, garages, mudrooms, laundry rooms, home offices — and the difficulty with selling that online is that a walk-in closet and a corner pantry are not two versions of one product. They are two different rooms, two different budgets and two entirely different searches. The old site treated them as one catalogue. - [RDC](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/rdc/): Reekie Development Consulting works on the paperwork side of infrastructure — permits, approvals, project files, the records that have to exist before a shovel moves and the ones that have to survive after it. It is unglamorous, specific work, and it was bought in two stages: a first site to establish the firm, then a second phase adding the depth once there was something to be deep about. - [Saskatoon Truck Parts](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/saskatoon-truck-parts/): Saskatoon Truck Parts sells used heavy-truck parts, which is a harder thing to put on a website than it sounds. The inventory is not a product line — it is whatever came off the last unit through the yard, and the person searching wants a specific Detroit Diesel or a specific Eaton rear end, not a category page. The proposal landed in mid-November 2024 with a working version due before January. - [Thorpe](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/thorpe/): Thorpe came to us as three companies with three websites — Thorpe Industries, Metro Roofing & Sheet Metal, and the Thorpe Group — and a plan to build all three. Partway through, the plan changed. What shipped is one site for one company, working across four offices in Western Canada on membrane roofing, metal roofing, architectural wall systems, windows and glazing, waterproofing, and the repairs and maintenance that follow all of it. - [Northern Strands](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/northern-strands/): Northern Strands is the oldest company in the NSGC family and the one most people mean when they say the name — over fifty years of mining wire rope, rigging and hoisting equipment, fall protection, suspended access and the training that goes with all of it. The website has to serve a mine planner specifying rope, a safety officer booking a course, and a contractor trying to find the nearest dealer, without any of them wading through the other two. - [WKSkinClinic](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/renew-medispa/): West Kootenay Skin Clinic and Renew MediSpa were two businesses. They are now one practice on Cedar Avenue in Trail, a town of about six thousand people that serves a region many times its size — physician-led dermatology and medical aesthetics on one side, spa services on the other, under a single roof and a single name. The website had to make that read as one clinic rather than a merger that never quite finished. - [Shewchuk Law](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/shewchuk-law/): Nobody shops around for a family lawyer the way they shop for a contractor. They have one situation, it's usually the worst month of their year, and they want to know two things before they'll pick up the phone: does this lawyer handle what's happening to them, and can they actually reach her. - [ResearchFDI](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/researchfdi/): ResearchFDI is a Montreal consultancy that helps economic development agencies attract foreign investment — a business whose entire credibility rests on published evidence. Case studies, white papers, podcasts, articles, recorded wins. All of it existed. Almost none of it was findable, because the previous site had been built in a page builder that stored the content as display code rather than as data. - [Citylife Investment Corp](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/citylife-investment-corp/): Citylife Investment Corp is two businesses wearing one name. It is a commercial landlord with sixty properties, and it is a holding company with nine operating businesses under it — paving, roofing, autobody, industrial supply, a pizza chain. A single homepage cannot serve a tenant looking for eight thousand square feet on Circle Drive and a supplier trying to work out who owns what. - [Fortis Engineering & Manufacturing](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/fortis/): Fortis does the work that keeps a mine shaft running — hoist roping and conveyance, shaft maintenance and repair, underground construction and development — and backs it with its own engineering and manufacturing under one roof in Saskatoon. That is three genuinely different businesses sold to overlapping buyers, and the previous site made a visitor work out which one they'd landed in. The rebuild's first job was telling them apart. - [DM Mortgage Broker](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/dm-mortgage-broker/): Deb Murdoch brokers mortgages out of Saskatoon and, like most brokers, does most of her work for people who are nowhere near her office. The old site already ranked; the brief was to keep that and build properly underneath it, which meant the rebuild had to be careful in ways a fresh build never has to be. - [KBSL](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/kbsl/): Keating Business Strategies does rural economic development — the work of getting small communities and agribusinesses to a plan they can actually execute. It is a consultancy whose credibility rests on projects rather than on positioning, and whose clients are municipalities, economic development officers and Indigenous organizations who will read a case study and skip a mission statement. - [Titan Drywall](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/titan-drywall/): Titan Drywall does drywall, taping, texture and steel stud framing for commercial and residential builders around Saskatoon — a trade where the buyer is almost always another contractor, and where the thing being assessed is not craftsmanship in the abstract but whether a crew can hold a schedule. - [Stevenson Industrial Refrigeration](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/stevenson-industrial-refrigeration/): Stevenson Industrial Refrigeration builds and maintains the refrigeration systems inside things most people never think about being refrigerated — arenas, processing plants, cold storage, refrigerated floors. It is a narrow specialism with a small number of possible customers in the province, which changes what a website is for. There is no wide funnel here. There is a specific engineer or facility manager, and either you turn up when they look or you do not. - [Saskatoon Youth Orchestra](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/saskatoon-youth-orchestra/): The Saskatoon Youth Orchestra is two ensembles rather than one. The orchestra takes musicians from fourteen to twenty-four; Saskatoon Strings runs alongside it for players from ten to eighteen who are earlier in the same journey. That structure is the organisation's whole shape, and a website that flattens it into one "programs" page makes a fourteen-year-old violinist and their parent work out for themselves which one is being described. - [AVI Health & Community Services](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/avi-health-community-services/): AVI Health and Community Services delivers harm reduction, HIV and hepatitis C support, testing and outreach across Vancouver Island. Its website has an unusual burden for a nonprofit: the people it most needs to reach are often the least able to navigate a complicated site, sometimes on a borrowed phone, often urgently, and frequently while deciding whether an organization can be trusted with something they have told nobody. - [Pink Wig Foundation](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/pink-wig-foundation/): The Pink Wig Foundation was started in memory of Tracy Dinh, and it does one thing: it gives money to women aged sixteen to fifty in Saskatchewan who are going through cancer treatment, so that a diagnosis does not also become a financial emergency. We have worked with Pink Wig from the beginning, through more than one version of the website, and the job has never really been marketing — it has been making sure two very different people can both find what they need in about ten seconds. - [Coal Creek Festival](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/coal-creek-festival/): The Coal Creek Festival is a music festival in Bienfait, a town of a few hundred people in Saskatchewan's old coalfields. When the website was scoped the festival had no name yet — the proposal calls it SSEPFest, then adds "or whatever the festival ends up being called," which is a fair description of how a first-year festival actually gets built. - [Elite Mortgage Choice](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/elite-mortgage-choice/): Tammy Wandzura has been broking mortgages across Saskatchewan and Alberta since 2005, and the brief was unusually specific: the existing site ranked well and could not be allowed to stop. Everything that follows was shaped by that — this was not a rebuild that could afford to be brave, it was one that had to keep an earned position while replacing what sat underneath it. - [Fastener Warehouse](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/fastener-warehouse/): Fastener Warehouse has been supplying bolts, anchors and specialty fasteners out of Saskatoon since 1994, and what it actually sells is the absence of a problem: a line that does not stop because somebody ran out of a part worth eleven cents. That is a difficult thing to build a website around, because the obvious structure — here is our catalogue — describes the parts rather than the promise. - [SSEP](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/ssep/): The Southeast Saskatchewan Economic Partnership is two rural municipalities and a town, working together on the things none of them can do alone — agricultural processing, logistics, water infrastructure, tourism, resource innovation, municipal capacity. Its own website is six pages long. That is not an oversight. - [Mesa Mechanical](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/mesa-mechanical/): Mesa Mechanical moved from residential work into commercial and industrial plumbing, HVAC and mechanical services, and the website had to move with it. That is a harder rebrand than it sounds: the two markets share a trade and share almost nothing else. A homeowner wants a friendly number to call about a furnace. A property manager wants to know whether you can hold a service contract across six buildings. - [The Ridge on Amisk](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/the-ridge-on-amisk/): The Ridge on Amisk sells three different holidays out of one property. A lodge room is a place to sleep between fishing days. A private log cabin is somebody's anniversary. Glamping is a third thing again, and the person who wants it is not the person who wants either of the other two. Before the site can do anything else, it has to let a visitor sort themselves. - [SSEPConnect](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/ssepconnect/): SSEPConnect is a marketplace, not a brochure. It exists to put southeast Saskatchewan businesses looking for capital in the same place as investors looking for somewhere to put it, and to keep the professionals who make those deals work — accountants, lawyers, lenders — visible alongside both. Rural investment usually fails on introductions rather than on merit, and this is an attempt to fix the introductions. - [ExploreSSEP](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/exploressep/): ExploreSSEP is the tourism directory for a corner of southeast Saskatchewan that does not have a tourism industry in the usual sense — no resort town, no marquee attraction, no marketing budget. What it has is fifty-odd small things: a museum in a former coalfield, a bakery, a ball diamond, a Legion branch, a swimming pool, a library. Individually none of them is a reason to drive out. Collectively, with a weekend and a map, they are. - [OptimaHR](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/optimahr/): Optima HR provides fractional human resources — the arrangement where a company too small for an HR department rents one a few days a month. It is a service sold almost entirely on the credibility of the person delivering it, and the brief reflected that: the client arrived with a clear and unusually disciplined idea of what she wanted, which was for the design to get out of the writing's way. - [Atoskewin Industrial](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/atoskewin-industrial/): Atoskewin Industrial is a general contractor formed in partnership with Ochapowace First Nation, who are its majority owners. That ownership is not a values statement bolted onto the footer — it is the commercial fact that decides who can bid on what, and a project owner carrying Indigenous procurement targets needs it established about a contractor before anything else. - [CORE Industrial](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/core-industrial/): CORE Industrial rents out capability by the day: hydrovac trucks, vacuum trucks, water trucks, gravel trucks, hotshot hauling, earthworks crews, underground mine maintenance, mulching. Nine services, and the buyer for each one is a different person having a different bad week. A site manager who needs a hydrovac on Thursday is not browsing a company overview. - [SECON Group](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/secon-group/): SECON Group is a holding company in Esterhazy with six operating businesses under it — construction, mining services, mechanical, industrial contracting, equipment. The awkward part of that shape is that nobody hires a holding company. They hire the one that does earthworks, or the one that does mine maintenance, and they usually do not know which of the six that is. - [Wardell Gillis](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/wardell-gillis/): Wardell Gillis was a full-service Saskatoon firm running on Wix when we took it on in 2022, and the first deliverable was not design at all — it was working out whether the domain was even registered and configured properly, which on a Wix-era small-firm site is a question worth asking before anything else. - [Certified Sales and Rentals](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/certified-sales-and-rentals/): Certified Sales and Rentals supplies the machinery that goes underground — scooptrams, loaders, compressors, generators, pumps, winches and lifting gear — to mining and construction operations that cannot afford a piece of equipment to be the reason a shift stops. They also repair it, recertify it, and fabricate custom pieces when nothing off the shelf will do. The website's problem was a catalogue that changes constantly and a buyer who arrives knowing exactly what they need. - [Northern Strands Group](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/northern-strands-group/): The Northern Strands Group of Companies is the parent of four Saskatchewan and Alberta operations that mostly sell to the same industries and occasionally to each other — Northern Strands for rope, rigging and fall protection, Certified Sales & Rentals for equipment, Fortis for mining engineering and manufacturing, and NS Modular for fabrication and field services out of Nisku. The group site's job is narrow and easy to get wrong: send people to the right company quickly, and be the front door for anyone who wants to work there. - [Strata Festival of New Music](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/strata-festival-of-new-music/): Six different kinds of thing happen at a new music festival, and they all get filed under the same word. A concert and a composers' masterclass and a symposium and a mixer are not interchangeable, and the composer flying in for the workshop and the couple buying tickets for Saturday night are looking for completely different weekends. - [Greenline Distributors](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/greenline-distributors/): Greenline Distributors sells organic, gluten-free and specialty grain wholesale across Western Canada, which means its website has a problem most catalogues do not: the prices are not for the public. Wholesale pricing is negotiated, confidential and different per account, so a product catalogue that shows numbers to anyone who wanders in is worse than no catalogue at all. - [Cypress Sales Partnership](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/cypress-sales-partnership/): Cypress Sales Partnership is a manufacturers' representative — the largest in Saskatchewan for HVAC equipment — which is a business model most people outside the trade have never had explained to them. Cypress does not manufacture and does not install. It represents the manufacturers, and an engineer specifying equipment for a building needs to know which lines Cypress carries before anything else can happen. - [South East Construction](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/south-east-construction/): South East Construction is a multi-trade industrial and maintenance contractor out of Esterhazy — potash country, where the work is measured in shutdowns and turnarounds rather than in buildings. Its site was the first one we built for what became the SECON Group, at the end of 2021, before there was a group of websites to be part of. - [Axis Vac & HDD](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/axis-vac-hdd/): Axis Vac & HDD does hydrovac excavation and horizontal directional drilling for clients across the West — the job of getting under a road without digging it up, and of exposing buried utilities without hitting them. It is skilled, invisible work with an unusually visible fleet, and the site takes its colour palette straight off the trucks, which are the most recognisable thing the company owns. - [Vern’s Pizza](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/verns-pizza/): Vern's Pizza has been selling the Original Thick since long before anybody worried about how it looked on a phone, and now runs eleven stores across seven cities in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. A pizza chain's website has one job on a Friday evening, and it is not brand-building — somebody is hungry, deciding between you and the other place, and every extra step between that thought and an order is a chance to lose them. - [Luminique Cosmetic & Laser](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/luminique-cosmetic-laser/): Luminique Cosmetic & Laser is a Saskatoon clinic offering sixteen distinct treatments — injectables, laser resurfacing and hair removal, microneedling, PRP, body contouring, peels and facials among them — plus the skincare products clients keep buying between appointments. In a market where every clinic's website says roughly the same reassuring things, the useful differentiator is being findable for the specific procedure somebody has already decided they want. - [Cronin’s Painting](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/cronins-painting/): Becker Design's first ever client. The original site we built for Cronin's Painting lasted a whopping nine years before we replaced it with a simple, modern redesign in 2021 — which is either a compliment to the first one or an indictment of how often anybody should need a new website. We'd take either. - [Overdrive Truck Driver Training](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/overdrive-truck-driver-training/): Getting a commercial licence is a decision somebody makes in a specific town. A person in Yorkton looking at a career change doesn't search "Saskatchewan truck driver training" — they search Yorkton, because the first thing they need to know is whether this is a thing they can do without moving. Overdrive has eight location pages for exactly that reason: Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Lloydminster, Swift Current, Yorkton, North Battleford and Moose Jaw, each one addressable on its own, not a bullet on a service-area list. - [51 Dental](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/51-dental/): 51 Dental is on 51st Street in the north end of Saskatoon, which is the kind of name that saves everybody a lot of explaining. It was the first of three clinic websites we built for the same owner, and the one where the decisions got made — how a dental service should be structured as a page, what a clinic's site actually needs, and what could be reused next time without the next clinic looking like a copy. - [Brightside Dental Studio](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/brightside-dental-studio/): Almost nobody searches for a dentist. They search for the thing that's wrong — a cracked filling, a wisdom tooth, a night guard their partner has been nagging them about, Invisalign for a kid who's turning fourteen. Thirteen of those searches have their own page on the Brightside site, each one written for the person typing that exact phrase into their phone. - [BuckingJam Palace](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/buckingjam-palace/): BuckingJam Palace is a house concert venue in Calgary, which means it runs on two economies at once. There's the ticket, and there's the smaller group of people who keep the room alive between shows. A website that only handles the first one leaves the organization funding itself by email. - [Legal Aid Saskatchewan](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/legal-aid-saskatchewan/): Legal Aid Saskatchewan serves people who qualify for legal help in criminal and family matters, which makes its website unlike almost every other law site we build. Nobody arrives here to compare firms. They arrive frightened, often on a phone, frequently in a hurry, and needing to establish one thing quickly: whether this applies to them at all. - [iSask Mortgage Brokers](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/isask-mortgage-brokers/): iSask is Scott and Michelle Tremblay, and the brief in 2021 said so plainly: the site had to feel like two people rather than an institution. Arranging a mortgage is one of the more frightening things most people do with a stranger, and a brokerage that competes on being reachable and human loses that advantage the moment its website reads like a bank's. - [Acadia Dental Clinic](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/acadia-dental-clinic/): Acadia Dental Clinic sits in The Centre at Circle and 8th, and shares its dentists with Midtown Dental downtown — the same practitioners, two ends of the city, so a patient can be seen wherever suits them that week. The website's first job is making that legible, because a clinic with a second location has to explain the relationship without seeming like a franchise. - [Midtown Dental Clinic](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/midtown-dental-clinic/): Midtown Dental Clinic is in the office tower above Midtown Plaza, which makes it the dentist for downtown Saskatoon's working population — people who book around a lunch hour and walk from the office rather than driving across town. Three clinics in the city share an owner; this was the second of them onto the system worked out at 51 Dental. - [Signature Stoneworks](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/signature-stoneworks/): Signature Stoneworks does custom countertops, cabinetry and tile out of Burron Avenue in Saskatoon, for both residential renovations and commercial work. It came to us as the third build in a single proposal alongside two dental clinics under the same owner — a stone fabricator and two dentists, which is not a combination that shares much beyond a signature at the bottom of a page. - [Hammer City Sports](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/hammer-city-sports/): Hammer City sells sports betting picks, and the whole product has a shelf life measured in hours. A pick is worth something before the game and nothing afterwards, which puts an unusual demand on the website: it has to publish constantly, date everything, and keep almost all of it locked. - [Canadian Retina Society](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/canadian-retina-society/): The Canadian Retina Society is the national body for ophthalmologists who work on vitreoretinal disease — a small, highly specialised profession whose members largely already know each other. That inverts the usual purpose of a website: no audience to attract, no case to make; the job is to be the reliable place where a scattered specialty keeps its shared business. - [KDM Constructors](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/kdm-constructors/): KDM Constructors is a Saskatchewan general contractor and skilled-trades provider, and its website is the oldest one in this portfolio still doing its original job. It was commissioned in 2021 through Aurum Development rather than by KDM directly — a client of a client — which is a good test of whether a build survives without the person who ordered it staying in the room. - [Fenton Travel](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/fenton-travel/): Travel agents do subtraction for a living. The world is enormous, the client has an idea and some time off, and the value Kathylynne adds is narrowing that down to the trip they'd have picked for themselves if they'd had months to research it. A website for a travel agent has to do the same move, or it's just a brochure with a phone number. - [Woods Law Office](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/woods-law-office/): Woods Law Office came to us for their first website, and then kept coming back. Family law and criminal defence, a firm that grew over the years we worked on it, and a site that got facelifts and edits rather than a replacement each time — generally the cheaper and better answer when the bones are sound. - [Victorian Hotel Vancouver](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/victorian-hotel-vancouver/): Two historic Vancouver buildings have a hotel threaded through them, and it's called the Victorian — high ceilings, heavy old construction, and brick the owners have been uncovering and putting back on show, a room at a time. The building was the brief. Anything we designed had to sit next to that brick without competing with it. - [Nardella Clinic](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/nardella-clinic/): We partnered with the Nardella Clinic to completely redesign and modernize their website, transforming it into a professional, conversion-focused hub for both patient services and online sales. - [JJ Custom Framing](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/jj-custom-framing/): The name sends plenty of people to entirely the wrong expectation — something to do with getting a print matted. The name is the first problem the website has to solve, because JJ frames buildings — houses, commercial blocks, big agricultural structures. So the homepage opens on a question only the right visitor would ask: are you building, and do you need a carpenter who won't blow the budget. - [Contrafact](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/contrafact/): On the day a record comes out, a musician's website has about one job: get the person who arrived to the thing that plays. Everything else on it is in the way. Contrafact — Connor Newton, out of Saskatoon, working somewhere between hip hop and jazz — got a site built around that single moment. - [NexGen Mechanical](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/nexgen-mechanical/): NexGen runs two cities as two different businesses. Saskatoon is commercial only — chillers, boilers, ventilation, the mechanical side of a build. Prince Albert does commercial and residential both. A general contractor pricing a chiller install and a homeowner in Prince Albert whose furnace has quit are not looking for the same company, and a site that mixed them would have made both of them work for it. - [Ideal Auto Paint Solutions](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/ideal-auto-paint-solutions/): Somebody pricing out a spray booth or restocking clear coat isn't browsing. They already know what they use, and the only question they're asking is whether you carry it. That's why the brands come before the pitch on Ideal Auto Paint's site — around twenty supplier lines named on their own page, from PPG and 3M through DeBeer, SATA, Iwata and Devilbiss, so a body shop across Western Canada can answer its own question without picking up the phone. - [Oakstead Landscaping](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/oakstead-landscaping/): Oakstead was a family team of certified arborists, arborist technicians and horticulturalists working across Southern Vancouver Island — tree work, yard and garden care, for homeowners, businesses and government contracts alike. A long way from most of our client list, and one of the more enjoyable briefs for it. - [Hyperion Woodworking](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/hyperion-woodworking/): A staircase gets chosen with the eyes and paid for with the engineering. The homeowner falls for a photograph — the curve of a handrail, the way light lands on treads — and then spends the rest of the conversation needing to be reassured that the thing will take a family coming down it in a hurry, every day, for as long as they own the house. Both halves have to be on the website, in that order. - [Chris Lambiris, Financial Advisor](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/chris-lambiris-financial-advisor/): Chris is a certified financial planner in Saskatoon. - [Saskatooning](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/saskatooning/): Tourism Saskatoon came to us wanting a lifestyle blog — somewhere to write about the city as a place people live rather than a place people visit for a weekend. What it needed first was a name, and Saskatooning was the one that stuck. - [W3APONS](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/w3apons/): A band's website loses to Spotify, and it should stop trying to win. Nobody discovers a rock trio by browsing their homepage. The people who go looking for one on purpose are bookers, promoters, festival programmers and the occasional journalist, and all four want the same short list of things in the same three minutes. - [Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/saskatoon-jazz-orchestra/): The Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra is the city's professional big band, and it runs a second ensemble alongside itself — the Saskatoon Youth Jazz Orchestra, with its own auditions, its own play-along programme and its own supporters. It also hosts the Kenny Wheeler Conference. That is three distinct things an audience might arrive for, on a season that changes completely every year. - [Shifting Ground](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/shifting-ground/): Shifting Ground is a four-year, SSHRC-funded research-creation project about energy, community and geography in the North — ten artists and researchers working across disciplines that don't normally share a bibliography, let alone a website. A project like that has to publish like a journal and look like an exhibition, and those two instincts pull in opposite directions. - [Calories Online Ordering](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/calories-online-ordering/): Calories runs a kitchen, a dessert case and a bakery operation out of one building on Broadway, and only so much of that can be sold to people sitting at a table. - [Calories Restaurant](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/calories-restaurant/): Simple. Local. Delicious. Calories has run on that line on Broadway for a long time, and it's a fair description of a place that is quietly three businesses at once — a dining room, a dessert counter with a following of its own, and a room that shows art and puts on live music. The site has to hold all three without pretending they're the same thing. - [Brow Babe Studio](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/brow-babe-studio/): You won't find a more local crew of prairie girls than the group of women behind the Brow Babe Studio and owner Lizzie Wiggens. As Lizzie puts it, her staff are "all born and raised in Saskatoon, and while I might be biased, some of the most talented artists I have ever met." - [Mano’s Restaurant](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/manos-restaurant/): Mano's is a Saskatoon steakhouse, and a restaurant website has a shorter job than almost any other kind: somebody is hungry, or somebody is deciding where to put twenty people on a Friday. The rest of the site exists to serve one of those two moments. - [Cuelenaere LLP](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/cuelenaere-llp/): Cuelenaere LLP is one of Saskatoon's long-established law firms, and this is the second website we have built for them. A firm practising across sixteen areas of law has a structural problem most businesses do not: every lawyer works in several of those areas, every area is worked by several lawyers, and any article worth publishing belongs to at least one of each. Maintained by hand, that is three lists that drift apart within a year. - [Sanctuary Spas](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/sanctuary-spas/): One visitor is thinking about buying a hot tub — comparing Sundance against D1, wondering about financing, still some way from a decision. The next one has a hot tub with a leak, in February, and needs somebody today. They have nothing in common. Sell to the first and you lose the second; serve only the second and you're a repair shop, which Sanctuary Spas is not. - [Seguin Sports](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/seguin-sports/): Seguin Sports Management is the home of two Saskatoon clubs that share almost nothing but a management company — the Saskatoon Fencing Club and Hub City Boxing Club. Different members, different reasons for walking in the door. What they do have in common is the administrative half: memberships to sell, recurring payments to collect, and people who need to pause and restart a subscription without an email exchange every time. - [XTENDED Hydraulics & Machine](https://beckerdesign.ca/websites/xtended-hydraulics-machine/): Industrial buyers don't browse. Somebody specifying a hydraulic cylinder already knows the bore, the stroke and the pressure they need, and the only thing they want from a manufacturer's website is a fast, unambiguous answer to "can you make this." XTENDED's site is built to give it to them. ## Industries - [Travel & Tourism](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/travel-tourism/) - [Nonprofits](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/nonprofits/) - [Restaurants](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/restaurants/) - [Law Firms](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/law-firms/) - [Health Care](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/health-care-clinics/) - [Medical Aesthetics](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/medical-aesthetics/) - [Naturopaths](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/naturopaths/) - [Mortgage Brokers](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/mortgage-brokers/) - [Arts and Music](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/arts-and-music/) - [Professional Services](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/professional-services/) - [Dental Clinics](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/dental-clinics/) - [Contractors](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/contractors/) - [Mining Companies](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/mining-companies/) - [Construction Companies](https://beckerdesign.ca/industry/construction-companies/) ## Services - [Website Hosting & Enhanced Ongoing Services](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/website-hosting-care-plans/): Many businesses find themselves in a constant state of reaction — scrambling to fix a broken page, dealing with a security issue, or trying to figure out why their site suddenly got slow. Our care plans are built to flip that script. We've designed a proactive service that ensures your website is always healthy and performing at its peak. This isn’t a reactive service that fixes problems as they arise; it's a strategic partnership designed to prevent problems from ever happening. Our team actively monitors your site's vitals, from its speed and security to its code health. For clients with complex digital ecosystems, like the Thorpe Group and its various construction companies, this managed approach is non-negotiable. It allows them to focus on building things in the real world, confident that their digital presence is in good hands. - [WordPress Migration](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-migration/): The most important thing to know about migration is what doesn't happen: downtime. Your current website keeps running, untouched, while its replacement takes shape in a private space on the web that only we can see. We harvest everything worth keeping from the old site — the writing, the images, the good data — and give it a proper home in a hand-built WordPress structure. - [WordPress Backups](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-backups/): Nobody's ever hired us because of backups, and no part of the service earns its keep more thoroughly. A website can be undone by a bad update, a compromised plugin, a server failure, or one honest mistake in an admin screen — and every one of those disasters is a shrug if yesterday's copy is sitting safely somewhere else. - [WordPress Performance Optimization](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-performance-optimization/): You'll almost never get an email telling you your website is slow. What you get instead is quieter: visitors who tap away before the page finishes, search rankings that sag — Google measures speed and ranks accordingly — and a first impression that says "old" before a single word gets read. - [Email Marketing](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/email-marketing/): Email marketing at Becker Design is the website's companion channel, not a standalone campaign machine. We're not going to run your drip sequences or A/B test your subject lines — there are dedicated shops for that, and if you need one, we'll say so. - [WordPress Security](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-security/): On the Enhanced Ongoing Services page we mention a long list of security measures and offer to bore you with it on request. This page is that list, because we think you should get to read it before anyone asks you to trust it. - [WordPress Management](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-management/): WordPress management is the fix: a standing arrangement where keeping your WordPress installation updated, watched, and correct is our problem, not yours — and where your changes get made for you while we're at it. It's the least glamorous thing we sell, and the part most clients would miss first. - [WordPress Hosting](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-hosting/): "Hosting" covers everything from a sliver of an overcrowded shared server to infrastructure a bank would recognize. The difference doesn't show up on the invoice so much as in the seconds your pages take to load, the nights your site stays up, and what happens when something finally goes wrong. - [Responsive Web Design](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/responsive-web-design/): Here's an honest thing most agencies won't put on a service page: responsive design shouldn't be a service you have to shop for. It's simply how websites ought to be built, and it has been for years. We keep this page around because people still search for it — usually right after pinching and zooming their way across their own website on a phone, or losing a customer who gave up trying. - [SEO](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/search-engine-optimization/): Keep your shields up when anyone sells you search rankings. Google doesn't publish the rules; everyone in this industry — us included — works from educated guesses, testing, and continuing homework. So when a caller guarantees the top of Google by next month for a comfortable monthly fee, you're not talking to someone with a secret. You're talking to the used-car salesmen of the internet. - [WordPress Design](https://beckerdesign.ca/services/wordpress-design/): The formula we've put in writing for over a decade of proposals: a hand-built, fully bespoke WordPress Content Management System (CMS) backend installation and 100% custom front-end design. In practice that means two things get made for you and nobody else. The front end — everything a visitor sees — is designed around your content, your customers, and the way your business actually gets found. The back end is a management toolkit shaped to your business: your services, your people, your projects, each with its own place to live and its own page on the site. ## Project Types - [Restaurants](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/restaurants/) - [Mining Companies](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/mining-companies/) - [Mortgage Brokers](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/mortgage-brokers/) - [Dental Clinics](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/dental-clinics/) - [Professional Services](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/professional-services/) - [Arts and Music](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/arts-and-music/) - [Nonprofits](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/nonprofits/) - [Medical Aesthetics](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/medical-aesthetics/) - [Hotels](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/hotels/) - [Construction Companies](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/construction-companies/) - [Law Firms](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/law-firms/) - [SEO](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/seo/) - [Contractors](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/contractors/) - [E-commerce](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/e-commerce/) - [Naturopaths](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/naturopaths/) - [Health Care](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/health-care/) - [Travel & Tourism](https://beckerdesign.ca/project-type/travel-tourism/)
